We have him...he is beyond beautiful....
We are a family of three and we could not be happier (or more exhausted!)
Promise to write a proper post soon, but it is so busy at the moment as Oliver will not settle without being in our arms, so we are quite restricted - and there's lots of things to do (who knew having a baby was so hectic!).
Oliver is grieving quite a lot, and is clearly quite frightened of us a lot of the time. He is also sick and we have spent quite some time this afternoon at the hospital which was traumatic for all of us....nothing serious, but he's crook enough to make him feel pretty awful lot of the time. Still, through all of it we are getting gorgeous toothless grins, some brief giggles, and increasing amounts of eye contact...all good signs that he is starting to take to us a little bit.
We are absolutely head over heels in love!!
So enough of that.....here he is....Oliver Love to you all,
T, P and O xxxxx

Hi T & P,
HE IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!
You must be so relieved to have him in your arms! Of course this is the start of a new chapter with its own challenges. Sorry to hear he has been sick. Poor little chickadee. Hope he gets better soon, which will hopefully help his transition also.
Stay Strong and CONGRATULATIONS again!
All my love

Dear Mama and Baba and baby O,
SO great to read your update today on eve of our leave to Korea. Sorry little O has been unwell, all that wonder nuturing from both of you will see him get well soon. it is so hard watching them grieve, even when we read all about it prior to our experience, witnessing and living with it is another dimension. we have been t hinking of you all. we are not sure how accessible a computer will be while we are in Korea but wanted to leave a last litte message incase we do not have access again. enjoy these first days, weeks, months are incredibly special, before you know it you will be enrolling him in school, or knowing T she has probably done this already :) much love, M, R, S, E xoxoxoxo

OH T & P!!!! He is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! Oh my goodness, look at all his hair!!!
So sorry to hear the Oliver is sick. Hope he improves quickly. He looks very happy in your pics!!!
Congratulations, Mummy & Daddy!
He is beautiful. When we adopted our daughter in 2004, I thought I was very prepared. However, I had to remain standing with her to keep her settled. If I sat down, she would scream. I used my sling a log and even managed to gently lower myself into a chair whilst she was asleep and kept her arms and legs vertical so she didn't realise I was sitting down. She was very traumatised and we found it best to keep things very quiet for her. We would do a long walk in the mornings (with her in her sling) and then mainly stay in our room. She was terrified of all the noise and people and easily over-stimulated. Oliver is gorgeous and I love his smile. I remember thinking what have we done to this poor child during our first few days together. The sadness and grief was so hard to watch.
PS: And it is much better that he is grieving, rather than not reacting to the momentous changes in his young life. Take care.
Oh my gosh! no wonder you are totally in love - he has to be one of THE most gorgeous little guys I have seen - he is beautiful. Thinking of you and praying for you often. Hope things settle really quickly for you. Oh what joy! Jen xx
